On the evening of 17th June a group of Wheelwrights and their guests attended a tour of the City which focused on the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the Blitz of 1940.
Our guide took us around many of the places in the City that we know so well, and explained how they were affected both by the Great Fire and the Blitz. Fascinating to see the impact both events had on the fabric of the City and what we see today. It was an interesting and fun event organised by James Peace of the Livery Committee.
