Currently in her final year at Barts and the London, Li Teng discovered her passion in Paediatrics through her five years at medical school. In 2017, she took on a research project at the Great Ormond Street Hospital – looking at the role of decompressive cranial surgery in paediatric stroke, which then led her to the Geoffrey Udall Prize.
As she continues other projects looking into the management of paediatric brain arteriovenous malformations, Li Teng is hoping to travel to Japan next April to carry out her six week elective in paediatrics, in hopes of gaining a global perspective of child health and hands on clinical experience in the field.
In her free time, Li Teng enjoys yoga and pilates; as well as planning her yearly summer trips back to South East Asia – Malaysia, where she visits family and friends.
